NAVAL COASTAL RIVERINE WARFARE

Now everyone can play riverine. Heads exploding are the least of their problems. They don't play well with others and their mission went away when we left Iraq. Their only hope of survival was to be picked up by Special Boats and wrapped in the warm and caring embrace of Navy Special Warfare and in that they failed.

Riverine adopts new strategy to get a little love from SPECWAR

Next subs and then "if the Navy finds it feasible" (which of course the PC Gods will) then Christ-on-a crutch the SEALS. I have A REAL MENTAL PICTURE of how this is all going to turn out...Sweet Flying Fucking Jesus!

Sadly, the RIVRONs are just about done. I think they will be decommed within the next couple of years. The first step, obviously, was rolling them under the umbrella of MESF instead of SPECBOATS which didn't want anything to do with them. When the budgeteers cut the funding for them in a year they will still be able to point to the remaining IBU of the MESF and say, "no, we still have the boats." Then they'll end up giving the boats away.

I don't really think the girls will have much chance to play before riverine becomes IBU and they've been in IBU since the creation.

Interesting times ahead. I wonder who they will convince to accept the challenge of leading forlorn hopes after the Admiralty eat 100% of the men that try and fail to make silk out of a sow's ear. It will happen. Hultgreen was proof enough as was what happened when Boorda screwed Admiral Stan Arthur. It will be interesting though to see a military made up of nothing but 20 and out yes men. It's going to be brutally hard on the next lot at Cavite, Wake and with the ABDA fleet.
